The Practicum
A significant requirement for the major of Family, Youth and Community Sciences is the completion of a practical work experience in which students are expected to apply the knowledge they have gained through coursework into 160 hours of real-life work experience often related to the students area of specialization. These internships can be either volunteer or wage paying jobs. This area of the site is designed to help students locate potential sites for their practicum and provide them with the necessary forms for proposing and earning credit for their practicum.
