The Protective Investigations Unit works with allegations of child abuse and neglect in order to determine if removal of the child is needed.  The student will have the opportunity to conduct field investigations with an actual investigator and refer clients to various services designed to assist their parenting skills.

Family/Community Development - promotional campaign for WalkAmerica, March of Dimes largest fundraiser; coordinating promoting and delivering prenatal health education programs; setting up and manning local health fairs; developing public health information display materials, including boards, banners, pamphlets and newsletters; assist in implementation of 3 year, $10 million national Folic Acid Campaign; assist in March of Dimes community grant process; inventory, order and distribute health education materials
