The department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences is committed to working closely with its students to help meet their academic and career goals. Upon a student's entry into the department, they are immediately assigned an advisor who will help them plan an Area of Specialization, select courses, and make their academic careers fulfill the potential that being a student at the University of Florida affords.
